Business and Employment Data

Reports can be requested by zip code, city or county.

  • Summary - Number of business establishments, employees and sales by industry sector (SIC codes). $35 minimum charge.
  • Basic - Company name, address, phone number, SIC code(s), name of executive and latitude/ longitude for your selected employment data from a database of more than 70,000 establishments. $35 plus 20 cents per record
  • Detail - Includes information above plus annual sales, number of employees, type of ownership, year started, and more. $35, plus 40 cents per record.

Maps to suit your business or organizational needs, minimum $200.

Market Profile

Small Area Highlights by Census Tract, 2007 and Small Area Highlights by ZIP Code, 2007

Estimates of population, households, housing units, racial composition, household income and age for the 15-county MSA either by census tract or ZIP code. Both reports include reference tract or ZIP code maps for all the counties in the MSA except Bates, Caldwell, Franklin and Linn. If these counties are needed specifically, please mention this in your order.

Reports sold separately. Please follow one of the two links at the top of this page for ordering current reports (2007). Previous years, 1993-2006 are $10, but cannot be ordered by credit card.

Kansas City Metro Area Associations Directory

Updated on an on-going basis, this directory contains approximately 1,300 metropolitan associations including address, telephone number, objective, contact, web site and e-mail address.

Listed types are Advocacy, Agricultural, Arts/Cultural, Athletic/Recreational, Business/Trade & Professional, Chambers of Commerce and Foundations, Economic Development, Educational, Finance & Insurance, Fraternal/ Social/Civic & Services, Historical, Home/ Property Owners & Community Associations, Medical, Political, Religious, and Senior Citizens. Non-profit organizations are identified in the alphabetical list.

Real Estate Development

Collection of detailed data on individual properties ended in 1996. Databases created up to that year for major retail centers, major apartment complexes, and major multi-tenant office buildings are available for purchase.
